About the League
Welcome to North Shore Parish Hoops
We bring together four North Shore Long Island parishes to give kids in grades 3–8 a place to learn the game, grow as people, and belong to something bigger than themselves.
Winning is part of competition. It is not the purpose.

Age-appropriate fundamentals
Skill-building activities matched to each grade level, so every player develops at the right pace.

Rotations and game plans designed to give every kid meaningful playing time and touches.

Older and more experienced players are encouraged to lift up their teammates.

What We Expect on the Sidelines
Clear standards for coaches, parents, and fans keep the league focused on kids first.

- Yell aggressively at players, coaches, or officials
- Cheat or bend the rules to win
- Criticize referees or their calls publicly
- Prioritize adult agendas over kids’ experience
- Let winning overshadow the experience
